I called ahead of time for the appointment. They were recommended to me by my vet. It was extremely conveniently located. There is a big room they do the work in, but the dogs are allowed to play in that room as well. No cages. It is very clean and doesn't smell. (angieslist.com)[divider]
Jessica has been grooming our three-year old Wheaten Terrier Teddy since she was a pup. People regularly stop us to compliment us on how beautifully groomed and cut Teddy is and we are always quick to give the credit to Jessica. Our experienced dog owner friends had cautioned that the most important characteristic in a groomer is a kind and patient hand so the dog is never fearful of the groomer or the surroundings. Teddy is always pleased to greet Jessica and eager to go into the grooming area. So we get a happy, clean and beautifully cut dog and a dependable and trustworthy groomer with excellent communication skills (canine and human!) and very satisfying customer service. I felt good about leaving them at a place that felt like "doggie daycare" rather than somewhere they're led off in a back room to sit in a crate. My golden is really social and had an absolute blast.
